APPLE DISABLES APPLE WATCH FEATURE DUE TO BUG ALLOWING STRANGERS TO SPY ON YOU || DEVELOPERS MINDD Apple has temporarily disabled the Walkie Talkie app on the Apple Watch after it discovered an issue potentially allowing anyone to listen to users without consent. Apple says it’s not aware of any exploits of the bug out in the wild, and says it became aware of it through the company’s own  vulnerability reporting system . Albeit Apple has avoided to provide any specifics on the actual issue, this doesn’t seem to be too easy to reproduce, but the firm just wanted to make sure that all users are protected until a patch is shipped. No signs of eavesdropping just yet “We were just made aware of a vulnerability related to the Walkie-Talkie app on the Apple Watch and have disabled the function as we quickly fix the issue. We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience and will restore the functionality as soon as possible,” Apple told  TechCrunch in a statement. “Altho

THIS IS HOW MICROSOFT EDGE WILL MANAGE ALL YOUR MEDIA SESSIONS FROM ONE SCREEN || BY DEVELOPERS MINDD

THIS IS HOW MICROSOFT EDGE WILL MANAGE ALL YOUR MEDIA SESSIONS FROM ONE SCREEN || DEVELOPERS MINDD As one of the largest contributors to the Chromium engine, Microsoft keeps coming back with improvements and new features that eventually all browsers using this platform could eventually get. But at the same time, the software giant also works on refining Google’s idea, as this is one of the purposes of the Chromium project: work together on the same features for the benefit of everyone. More recently,  Google implemented a new media control key  that sits in the toolbar within your browser, making playback controlling a much easier process. The active session was thus displayed in a simplified UI, technically allowing you to play and pause the playback, skip to the next song or to the previous one with just a couple of clicks and without touching the media keys on your keyboard. Needless to say, Microsoft is interested in this idea as well, only that the software gia

APPLE LAUNCHES GENIUS PRIVACY BILLBOARDS TO PROMOTE THE IPHONE || BY DEVELOPERS MINDD

APPLE LAUNCHES GENIUS PRIVACY BILLBOARDS TO PROMOTE THE IPHONE || DEVELOPERS MINDD Apple has always positioned privacy as one of its top priorities, and the company is now trying to capitalize on this strategy with a new set of billboards. The Cupertino-based tech giant thus uses pro-privacy billboards in order to highlight the capabilities of the iPhone, and the first such banners have recently been spotted in Canada. One of the billboards reads that “Privacy is king” and comes with a slogan used on all the other banners that says “That’s iPhone.” “We’re in the business of staying out of yours,” another such billboard reads. “Privacy. That’s iPhone,” it also adds, as  iMore  notes. Others think Apple just uses privacy to sell more iPhones While Apple is pushing so hard for privacy, the company has often been criticized by other tech giants for using it as a selling point. Apple CEO Tim Cook, on the other hand, emphasized that investing in privacy is just a matter of

WINDOWS 1.11 NOW AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD || BY DEVELOPERS MINDD

WINDOWS 1.11 NOW AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD || DEVELOPERS MINDD Microsoft took everyone by surprise earlier this month when it announced the “all-new Windows 1.0,” on Twitter, and while it took everyone a few days to decrypt the message, it all eventually proved to be nothing more than a Stranger Things promo. This clever way of promoting the season 3 of Stranger Things, which is available right now on Netflix, generated quite an excitement in the Windows community, so Microsoft decided to capitalize on it with a dedicated  Windows 1.11 app . In fact, Windows 1.11 is more of an interactive trailer that mixes puzzle games with Stranger Things content, so it’s first and foremost aimed at fans of the show. Support for all Windows 10 versions The description of the app in the Microsoft Store is written in the same cryptic language that invites you to explore more about Windows 1.11. “Experience 1985 nostalgia with a special edition Windows 10 PC app inspired by Windows 1.0—but o

LINUX MINT 20 AND FUTURE RELEASES WILL DROP SUPPORT FOR 32-BIT INSTALLATIONS || BY DEVELOPERS MINDD

LINUX MINT 20 AND FUTURE RELEASES WILL DROP SUPPORT FOR 32-BIT INSTALLATIONS || DEVELOPERS MINDD The Linux Mint project  announced  today that they have decided to follow Canonical's decision to drop support for 32-bit system in future releases of their Ubuntu operating system. As you might know, Canonical  announced  last month that they plan to drop support for 32-bit systems all together, not only for new installations, but they ended up realizing that some major projects like Wine and  Steam  still need 32-bit libraries, so starting with  Ubuntu  19.10 (Eoan Ermine) they'll  only build select 32-bit packages . Many users were asking if Ubuntu-based distributions will be affected by this major change, which shouldn't be a surprize to  anyone in 2019, so it looks like  Linux Mint , one of the most popular Ubuntu-based operating systems out there will follow on Ubuntu's steps to drop support for 32-bit systems in future releases, starting with Linux Mint 20

APPLE POSSIBLY WORKING ON A CHEAPER iPhone THAT YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO  GET ||  DEVELOPERS MINDD We are only a couple of months away from the moment Apple will take the wraps off its new-generation iPhones, and just like in 2018, the Cupertino-based tech giant is expected to unveil a trio of models. But according to a recent  report , in addition to successors to the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max, Apple could also prepare a cheaper device that would introduce a bunch of significant changes for the iPhone lineup. First of all, this more affordable model would no longer feature Face ID, as the facial recognition system is one of the most expensive parts of the smartphone. Because of this, Apple reportedly wants to ditch it, which should help substantially reduce the price of the new iPhone. As a result, this model could come with a fingerprint sensor, so Touch ID would be making a comeback. However, the cited source claims Apple is exploring two different opti
